Every year more than 1000 dedicated individuals join the San Diego LGBT Pride Team to make our Pride Celebrations a reality.From our corporate and partnership volunteers, to our own pride volunteers and board of directors, everybody plays a critical role in our success.
San Diego's Pride Parade finds its roots in the original march held in June of 1974, when a four-hundred person march/rally was held in Balboa Park. In its 36th San Diego Pride Parade has become the largest civic event in the county of San Diego. Every year more than 200,000 people line the streets of Hillcrest as they watch more than 150 parade contingents. The year our Parade will be on Saturday, July 17, 2010 at 11am.
San Diego's Pride Festival is a high-profile two-day festival that attracts more than 45,000 attendees to the world famous Balboa Park. In this beautiful setting festival attendees will be treated to multiple stages of entertainment, music, bands, comedy and dance performers, 300 exhibitors and plenty of great food.The two-day festival will be held on Saturday and Sunday, July 17-18, 2010.
