Pride Festival Exhibitor Applications Available
Early bird rates available up to May 2
San Diego Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender Pride has announced that festival exhibitor applications are now available for the Pride festival, scheduled for July 19 and 20, at Marston Point in Balboa Park.
The Pride festival is a two-day celebration of Pride and an educational tool to raise awareness of human rights for LGBT communities locally and globally. Special features of this year's festival will include a new park-and-ride lot at the County Administration Building, a main stage Jumbo Tron, a "wine grotto," an enhanced commitment ceremony, a rally on July 19 during the festival and free "love hats" on July 20. Multiple entertainment stages, food courts and a dozen special feature areas will also be featured along with nearly 300 exhibitors.
"A significant number of exhibitors represent non-profit organizations in our community and they contribute to the grassroots heritage of the festival. This will be the fifth year in a row that a non-profit organization can obtain a 10x10 tented space for only $250," says Ron deHarte, executive director of San Diego LGBT Pride. "Showcasing our community's non-profit groups is a very important component of the Pride festival and we are proud to keep the fees locked in at 2004 levels."
Organizations and businesses seeking to increase consumer awareness of their services or products are encouraged to exhibit at the San Diego Pride festival. Festival exhibitors will experience more than 40,000 sophisticated and affluent consumers who attend the two-day event in Balboa Park.
Festival applications are available online at www.SanDiegoPRIDE.org, or through the Pride office, located at 1807 Robinson St., Suite 106. This year's Pride theme is "Live, Love, Be," and will be held July 19-20. For more information, call the Pride office at 619-297-7683 x 104 or visit the web site: www.SanDiegoPRIDE.org.
