San Diego Pride may be best known for its Festival in beautiful Balboa Park and the annual Parade, however there are numerous community events held throughout the months of June and July that are part of Pride's Official Events program. The months of June and July are packed with something for everyone.

The July San Diego LGBT Community Coalition Breakfast will be a special Pride champagne brunch. It will take place on Fri., July 18 from 7:30-9am at The Center, 3909 Centre St.
A full breakfast is available for a $10 donation and RSVPs are not required. The LGBT Community Coalition Breakfast is sponsored by Wells Fargo, the Gay & Lesbian Times and San Diego LGBT Pride.

This annual outdoor house party is a great way to kick off the pride weekend. Limited to 500 people, San Diego's who's who and their out of town guests always make this event their first stop for the weekend. With an open bar and complimentary food provided by local vendors, plus an exciting silent auction, it is THE place to be seen and make your plans for the rest of the weekend.
Ticket purchases will benefit the SAN DIEGO PRIDE fund for the San Diego Youth Housing Center.

The San Diego Men's Chorus will present a landmark theatre piece to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots on Sunday, July 12, 2009. This event will feature an original script, and music selected from the popular music and social justice causes of the past forty years.
Del Shores, creator of Sordid Lives, will star in this event, along with Olympic icon and activist Greg Louganis. And Broadway sensation Frenchie Davis will also appear, singing with the chorus. The San Diego Womens Drum Circle will rock the house with their powerful, pulsating rhythms. And featuring local actors and dancers from Malashock and the San Diego Dance Theatre, as well as students from the San Diego High School for Media, Visual and Performing Arts. |
